«FACE IMAGES» is a public art festival that grew out of the exhibition project of the Russian sculptor and jeweler Yuri Shakhoyan, "Eternity Game". The iconic image in his work is a mask. In "Face Images" it grows in size, becomes a canvas for artists and an occasion to talk about local identity.

The co–organizer of the festival is the Museum of Slavic Mythology (Tomsk).

The Face Images Festival unites Russian creative and art community, creates an art network where talented authors and artists can share their experience and fulfill their creative potential.

In 2023, Tomsk became the first assembly point of the «cultural code» of Siberia - Face Images of Siberia. In 2024, Altai and Gornaya Shoria took over the baton.

The origins of this new trend in art should be sought in the work of 3D designers who transform shape using the beam of a video projector. This is how the symbiosis of a videographer and a sculptor took place in Yuri Shakhoyan's project "Eternity Game" in 2019. Work with numerous masks of a single shape suggested the idea of placing a large mask of a similar shape in the exposition, whereon a video with the textures of the panels and jewelry presented at the exposition was broadcast. Thus, a creative method of the author was revealed, not so much creating the form as modifying it.

The project unites the interregional creative and art community, creates an art network where young and talented artists from all over Russia can share their experience, fulfill their creative potential and grow professionally as masters of a new street wave.

Now, the project is actively developing and is ready for cooperation.
